Earlier today we released Jetpack 13.9.1 which includes a critical security fix.

While there’s no evidence this vulnerability has been exploited in the wild we’re always better safe than sorry right? So please update your version of Jetpack as soon as possible!

To make things even smoother we’ve worked hand-in-hand with the WordPress.org Plugins Team to release patched versions of Jetpack going all the way back to 3.9.9. Most websites have already been automatically updated to a secure version.

What’s Going On?

During a recent security audit we discovered a vulnerability within the Contact Form feature in Jetpack.

This vulnerability could have allowed anyone logged in to your site to read forms submitted by your visitors.

This vulnerability has been present in Jetpack versions 3.9.9 and newer.
It’s a potential for privacy breaches.
We’ve released a critical security update to address the problem.

This update affects a wide range of Jetpack versions from the most recent release to older ones.
