A Year of Growth Innovation and Dedication (Get it? Dedicated Servers? 😉)

First let’s talk about that dedicated server upgrade.
Remember the AMD Ryzen 12-core CPU? It’s like a turbocharged engine for your business packing a serious punch without breaking the bank.
It’s no surprise they sold over 1000 units in the first three months! That’s a testament to Contabo’s commitment to offering powerful solutions that are both affordable and efficient.
And speaking of affordability our VPS offerings got a serious boost in 2023 too. We’re talking the cheapest VPS on the planet starting at just 4.50 euros. That’s a serious bargain for even the most budget-conscious entrepreneur. We also added the VPS XXXL which is like a heavyweight champion in the VPS world with 24 vCPU cores 120 GB RAM and your choice of 600 GB NVMe or 2.4 TB SSD storage.
Expansion Expansion Expansion!
We weren’t just tinkering with our products.
We were also busy expanding our footprint opening a new data center in Tokyo Japan.
This makes it our 8th global data center bringing us closer to customers in Asia and offering them lightning-fast speeds.
But wait there’s more! Our next data center is in Lauterbourg right on the border of France and Germany.
It’s expected to be up and running early in 2024 which is fantastic news for customers in Europe and beyond.
Crypto Craze!
2023 was a year of exploration for Contabo venturing into the exciting world of crypto.
We embraced the rising popularity of blockchain and decentralized systems creating a dedicated suite of crypto-focused products.
We’re now hosting Bitcoin Ethereum Horizen IPFS Nodes and Flux Nodes with over 1000 Ethereum nodes and 5500 IPFS nodes running on our servers.
That makes us the second-largest cloud hosting provider for IPFS – impressive stuff!
We even forged a strategic partnership with Flux a leading player in decentralized infrastructure and Web3 development.
It’s a big step towards bridging the gap between traditional web hosting (Web2) and the decentralized blockchain-powered Web3.
Sustainability is the Name of the Game
We know that building a successful business means being responsible.
Contabo joined the Climate Neutral Data Centre Pact aligning ourselves with over 100 other European data center operators to reduce the environmental impact of our facilities.
We also developed a comprehensive decarbonization roadmap which is our plan for reducing our carbon footprint.
This includes a GHG emissions report – a detailed look at our current emissions helping us make informed decisions for the future.
New Leadership New Heights
We said goodbye to our former CEO Thomas Noglik who led Contabo through a period of tremendous growth tripling revenue during his time at the helm.
He’s not going too far though – he’s still involved as a member of the supervisory board.
We also welcomed our new CEO Dr.
Christian Böing who brings years of experience from companies like Vodafone and IONOS.
He’s already making waves pushing for even better customer offerings and expanded global reach.
A 20th Birthday Bash!
We celebrated 20 years of Contabo in 2023. It’s hard to believe that much time has passed and how much the digital world has changed.
We’ve been a part of that transformation from the beginning.
It’s truly amazing to think of how much we’ve accomplished together and we’re looking forward to what the next 20 years hold.
The Future is Bright
